There is a First Aid at Work Course run by North2South First Aid training, which will be subsidised by Bentham Business Boost. This is a 2-day course on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th February, 9-3:30pm at Bentham Golf Course. The charge to businesses will be £50 each participant, including lunch on both days from Simply Delicious, this will be an invoice from Bentham Town Council.

‘First Aid Regs 1981 states all employers, including self-employed people, have to complete a risk assessment to ascertain how many first aiders they have to have at any one time, shift, day etc available on their premises to look after employees, contractors, public and visitors to their premises.

This is a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Course an approved long-standing course, covering the relevant first aid needs of companies to aid anyone being injured, ill etc. on their premises until the paramedics, emergency services arrive.

This certificate is valid for 3 years

You will cover both Level 2 on the first day (beginners first aid) and then Level 3 which is going into major illnesses, anyone from any level can take this qualification.’

There are 28 places available on the 2-day course. This is an accredited course with a small quiz at the end to receive a qualification certificate.
